In Southern Asia, the number of
influenza detections decreased. These
were reported by Iran (Islamic
Republic of), Pakistan and Sri Lanka
and were predominantly influenza
A(H3N2) as well as a few influenza
A(H1N1)pdm09 and influenza B
detections. Activity decreased or
remained stable in reporting countries
across the region.

predominately influenza A(H3N2) and
a few cases of influenza B. Malaysia
reported influenza A(H3N2), influenza
A (not subtyped) and influenza B, the
Philippines reported only influenza A
(not subtyped) and Timor-Leste
reported influenza A(H3N2).
