南半球
• In Oceania, influenza activity remained
low. In the Pacific Islands, ILI activity
was low overall. RSV activity was low in
Australia and New Zealand.
• In South Africa, influenza detection rates
in ILI and pneumonia surveillance
remained below the epidemic
thresholds. There were few RSV or
SARS-CoV-2 detections and the RSV
detection rate in children under five
years in pneumonia surveillance
remained below the seasonal threshold.
• In temperate South America, influenza detections decreased across the
subregion to low levels. The majority of activity was reported from
Argentina and Chile where positivity decreased to low levels but remained
above average levels expected for this time of year. In Argentina, influenza
B was predominant while influenza A(H3N2) predominated in Chile. ILI
cases decreased to below the epidemic threshold in Argentina and
decreased in Chile but remained at a moderate level and above the
baseline for this time of year. In Chile, SARI cases were above epidemic
threshold and above the baseline. SARI was also above the epidemic
96
threshold and above the baseline in Paraguay and Uruguay. RSV remained
96
low and SARS-CoV-2 increased in the subregion.
